My Love Of The Chesapeake Bay

To be out on the Chesapeake Bay is like being in a beautiful dream.
The Chesapeake is magnificent.....the bay is like a lady.....she can be fierce and unforgiving if you don't respect her.

She can also bring peace and comfort.....bring you to places you want to be.....in your heart and in your soul.....she is beautiful to look upon.

It is a place where you can refiect on the happiness and sadness of your life....
She shares your thoughts and dreams....
She listens and somehow gives you a better perspective on where you are going and how to get there....
Sometimes our lives are a lot like the broken shells we find along her shores....
They may be a little weathered from the waves beating them against the shore, they may have a little piece missing but they are still beautiful in their own way , someone will find it and call it a treasure.

I remember the wonderful days you and I spent walking her shore's and looking for sharks teeth and driftwood....
Walking hand in hand together....with our feet in the warm sand....when ever one of the big ships passed by the sea's would break around our ankles ....
The nights we camped on the shore were beautiful....I remember the night we had some of the kids....and the big storm came and we all thought we were going to be blown into the bay...
I will never stray very from the seashells....sand....and the water....
The Chesapeake Bay will always be apart of me.>
